David R. Brand, Esq., the principal of Turn of River Real Estate & Management, LLC (“TOR”), is an experienced real estate professional with nearly two decades of legal and real estate management experience.  David is a 2001 graduate of the University of Michigan and a 2005 graduate of the Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law.

 

Upon graduating from law school, David worked at Holland & Knight, LLP – an international law firm – where he focused on commercial litigation matters.  After spending three years at Holland & Knight, David then moved to Belkin Burden & Goldman, LLP, a boutique real estate law firm, where his practice focused on representing landlords, condo and coop boards, and brokers in various litigation matters across housing, state, and federal court.

 

During his seven years at Belkin, David gained valuable knowledge and insight into the ins-and-outs of New York City's complex real estate market.  David was able to acquire a deep understanding of rent regulations and HPD and DHCR rules and requirements, which makes him a trusted advisor for any owner looking to bring on new management.

 

In 2016, David took his years of legal and real estate experience to start TOR.  Blending a client-centric and practical approach while simultaneously making sure tenants' needs are addressed, David has successfully helped owners feel at ease that their properties – and real estate investments – are in good hands.
